Puppy Softie
I used the bunny ear die to make the floppy ears. I then used the top part of the pocket die to devise a tail (please PTI - add a tail die for the design-a-softie kit - or add a video on how to easily add one).
Supplies:
- PTI Dark Chocolate Felt (Main Body)
- PTI True Black Felt (Nose)
- PTI Summer Sunrise Felt (Collar)
- Button Eyes (2 tiny buttons from the Design-a-Softie kit)
Blonde Girl Softie
I used the basic softie body dies and cut the front bit of her hair free-hand. Her hair plait - I devised using the top bit of the pocket die [when you chop off the top bit of the pocket die and sew the long sides together, you get a tube about the length of a finger - I made three of these and created the plait. I then used the mustache die to create the 'tail' end of the plait].
Supplies:
- PTI Vintage Cream Felt (Main Body)
- PTI True Black Felt (Leotard)
- Yellow Felt (my own supply - scraps from a previous project)
- Button Eyes (2 tiny buttons from the Design-a-Softie kit)
- 2 small beads fashioned as earrings
Pig-tailed Girl Softie
I used the basic body softie die and cut her hair free-hand - her pigtails I fashioned from bunny ears which I've folded down.
Supplies:
- PTI Vintage Cream Felt (Main Body)
- PTI True Black Felt (Leotard)
- PTI Kraft Felt (Hair)
- PTI Summer Sunrise Felt (Leggings)
- Button Eyes (2 tiny buttons from the Design-a-Softie kit)
- 2 small beads fashioned as earrings
All Woman Softie (c:
I used the basic body softie die but cut her hair and white top free-hand. I also fashioned 2 circles as breasts which you can sort of see popping out of her top.
Supplies:
- PTI Kraft Felt (Main Body)
- PTI Blueberry Sky Felt (Jeans)
- PTI Dark Chocolate Felt (Hair)
- PTI Smokey Shadow Felt (Belt and Boots)
- Button Eyes (2 tiny buttons from the Design-a-Softie kit)
- 2 small beads and jump rings fashioned as hoop earrings
- Small leather band fashioned as a bracelet and necklace (with a small pendant)
- Small cable tie fashioned as a fit bit (lol!)
You did a fantastic job! Would you be willing to walk me through the braids? I am a bit confused. I'm just so impressed!
ReplyDeleteHello! I'm so sorry - I only saw your comment today! (Have had to put crafting on the back burner since having a baby) - I no longer have the doll to take closer pictures as I have given it to my niece. From memory though I had cut three rectangular pieces that was supposed to be the back of the design-a-softie scarf and stitched the long sides together - then with the three stitched pieces - I simply plaited them securing each end with a stitched knot. I hope that makes sense...I had to do quite a bit of hidden stitches to stitch the plait back onto the doll's head. I was also surprised with the results - Thanks for noticing my work! (c:
